"Completing JSS is not enough" - Agban

Mr Kwame Tetteh Korley Agban, Dangme West District Chief Executive, has appealed to the people of the district to encourage their wards to strive for higher academic laurels because as he puts it “junior secondary school (JSS) is not enough”.

"Education is a problem here and many people have no education to an appreciable level, once they finish JSS, they are deemed to have finished school," he lamented.

It is for this reason that the district set up a 500 million cedis fund to support education, Mr Agban, said in an interview.

He said it was difficult getting the required manpower from the district to support businesses and to occupy top positions in the district assembly because the educational levels of the majority of the people were very low.

"We want to tell them that it is not the question of money, it is your effort and the Assembly will support you."
