Community Heroes Award to reward Golden Age Leaders

The Africa Centre for Peace Building (AFCOPB) and Awake Africa Magazine will confer a Heroes award on Golden Age Leaders (GALs World) at this year's Community Heroes Award's night for their Red Tour Project.

Red Tour Project which is an innovation of Golden Age Leaders is targeted at giving out free pads to the less privilege girls in rural areas. Last year the team was able to donate numerous sanitry pads to girls in Senior High Schools and rural areas.

Golden Age Leaders will pick up the award on September 20, 2018, at the University of Professional Studies-Accra, Ghana.

The Community Heroes Award is an initiative of the Africa Centre for Peace Building and Awake Africa Magazine which seeks to identify, celebrate and honour individuals and organizations who have committed themselves to promote development and peace at the grassroots through social work, entrepreneurship, and selfless leadership.

GALs World have also been nominated for the Women Empowerment award and will have to beat off Established Women Seedling and Production Group to the accolade.

Other Groups and individuals expected to pick an award on the night include;
