Commentary: NPRA Won’t Be Allowed To Sabotage The President

The Informer, known by many well-meaning Ghanaians as a proactive rather than a reactive mouth piece embarked upon a fact find mission at the National Pension Regulatory Authority ( NPRA) regarding horrendous saboteuring allegations by some faceless Board members of the NPRA.

Revelations at the NPRA are that the New Pension Scheme which was launched by His Excellency, Prof. J.E.A. Mills on the 16th of September, 2009, of which Mr. Richard Kwame Asante is the Chairman is indeed heading for a collapse. Some Board members of the scheme have vowed to make sure President Mills’s administration does not take credit for the new scheme since the idea was not conceptualized by his administration. According to these selfish Board members, they risk losing their relationship with their NPP compatriots when they see through the implementation of the new scheme successfully. They are the only people (i.e. these selfish Board members) who understand what they mean by this covetous statement.

Revelations are that a deliberate ploy is being hatched by these faceless Board members to delay a fully-fledged implementation of the scheme until the NPP regains power in 2013, but The Informer would want to assure them that these heinous and saboteuring actions and intents would only flourish over the dead bodies of the millions well-meaning Ghanaians.

Traitors, heartless and selfish as they are, they must at least also think about the millions of Ghanaians, especially those in the informal sector that will be saved by this new pension scheme and stop being ignorant. Have these Board members soon forgotten the message given to them by H.E. the President, Professor Evans John Atta Mills reminding them of the heavy responsibility which has been entrusted on them especially with regard to the many lives in the informal sector? The Informer wants to let these cold-hearted Board members know that the New Pension Scheme is a dream come true for all Ghanaians. The onus is, therefore, on these Board members to fashion out strategies to make the scheme a success and not to destroy it for their parochial interests.

The merits of the New Pension Scheme are bigger than anyone’s parochial interests. It is also of the essence to let these Board members know that the scheme has come to stay and will see the light of day under Professor Mills’s administration; by God’s grace; Insha Allah.

To us at The Informer, we cannot allow this sabotage to go and the dream the President shattered.

In fact, it is for this reason that we are making to humble appeal to His Excellency the President, to with immediate effect intervene and save the NPRA from collapse as a result of the unnecessary board room bickering.

In fact, The Informer will not allow Mr. Richard Kwame Asante and his board to sabotage the President as we will stop at nothing to expose them of their clandestine activities, period!!!
