Churches service held to mark Palm Sunday

Ntiribuoho (Ash), March 16, GNA - Church services were held at Ntiribuoho in the Afigya-Kwabre district to mark Palm Sunday, special day to mark kingship and Messianic fulfillment day of Christ. Members of the various churches paraded through the streets and with palm fronds, singing songs to mark the triumphant entry. In a sermon at the Saint Michael Catholic Church, Reverend Father Leo Oppong, Priest Guest at the Saint Mary's Sanctuary, Buoho Grotto asked Christians to exhibit humbleness and tolerance.

He called on the congregation to go home and show the love, sympathy and patience Christ showed to mankind at all levels adding that they remain steadfast and at all provocations should try to forgive. Preaching at the Presbyterian Church, Mr Paul Owusu-Ansah, catechist of the Church asked the members to search for their salvation instead of material things.

He stressed the need for them to be faithful to God and have love for one and another so that they can win more souls for Christ. At the Methodist church, Evangelist George Boakye-Boateng, Care-taker of the Church noted that Christ's trial was misinterpreted by the prosecutors but he did not utter a word and this led to his victory. He, therefore, called on Christians to be steadfast in times of prosecutions and be truthful and honest in the service of the Lord. nsmission
