Christian Atsu undergoes minor knee surgery

Ghana winger Christian Atsu is reported to have undergone a minor knee surgery after suffering an injury.

The Ghanaian international is said to have picked up an injury in Newcastle United’s final League game.

Atsu was left out of the Black Stars squad for next Month’s Cup of Nations qualifier against Ethiopia and International friendlies with the USA and Mexico.

The player underwent a surgery hence expected to be out for some time.

The 25-year-old sealed a permanent four-year deal with Newcastle United this week from English Champions Chelsea.
