China Jiangxi International Cooperation donates nose mask to two Ministries

China Jiangxi International Cooperation has donated a total of 10,000 pieces of nose masks to the Ministries of Roads and Highways and Finance to protect themselves in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mr Mike Kang, the Country Managing Director of China Jiangxi International Cooperation, who donated the masks on behalf of the foreign company said the gesture formed part of their corporate social responsibility to the country.

He said the government of Ghana showed enormous support to China when they had the outbreak the first time adding, "So we are also doing what we can to assist the country in the fight against the flu-like disease.”

Mr Kwasi Amoako Atta, the Minister of Roads and Highways, on behalf of the government thanked the company for the gesture and the long-standing relationship they have.

He said the donation is much appreciated as it would help protect their staff due to the nature of the work.

"Let us continue to work together and I know that with this kind of corporation and the seriousness towards the fight of the disease the world would conquer it.”

He commended the Chinese government for being able to contain and effectively manage COVID-19 cases in their country.

China Jiangxi International Cooperation also known as China Jiangxi Corporation for International Economic and Technical Cooperation (CJIC) is a Chinese construction and engineering company that operates in many countries of Anglophone Africa.
