Mr. Li Yongchuan, Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy, yesterday presented five computers and accessories and five colour printers all valued at ?100 million to the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development towards the ministry's capacity building drive.

Mr. Li Yongchuan said, the Ministry has been playing a central role in co-ordinating activities and programs aimed at reducing poverty in Ghana. He hoped the computers would help the ministry to achieve some of its objectives.

Hajia Alima Mahama, Deputy Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, said the ministry is building the capacity of the local unit, training the youth at local level to develop, and mobilizing women to support them through micro-financing.

She asked the Embassy to help send some Ghanaians to China to learn from them to develop their skills and boost entrepreneurship in Ghana.
