'Chieftaincy Minister is innocent' – Wassa Fiase Traditional Council

The present is to sound a note of caution to all persons The present is to sound a note of caution to all persons

The Wassa Fiase Traditional Council, has refuted allegations that, Minister for Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Mr. Kofi Dzamisi is interfering and working against a particular faction as the recognized paramount chief of the Wassa Fiase traditional area.

“Self-acclaimed” Paramount Chief of Wassa Fiase Traditional Council, of the Western Region, Odeneho Akrofa Krukokor II, last week in a press conference was unhappy with some key figures who he claimed are allegedly behind his sabotage in his quest to be acknowledged and accepted as the substantive Chief of the Wassa Fiase area.

Some of the key hands working against his chieftaincy according to him, include the Chieftaincy Minister, Hon. Kofi Dzamesi, some individuals and other chiefs at the Western Region House of Chiefs, and the Regional Police Command.

But in a statement signed and addressed by some nine key chiefs in the Wassa Fiase Traditional area, Sekyere Heman Nana Kwadu Kyerefo II, indicated that, the allegations by Odeneho Akrofa Krukokor II were debunked.

According to them, the qualification of Odeneho Akrofakoko to ascend to the highest seat as the paramount chief is questionable, hence he is not fit to sit on the throne.

They further intimated that, Odeneho Akrofa Krukokor II popularly known as Kwesi Ampong has never been recognized by the Wassa Fiase Traditional Council, as the substantive paramount chief and will never do.

They are amused as to why the chieftaincy Minister Hon. Kofi Dzamesi will be accused of working against a self-acclaimed chief who is not recognized in his traditional area.

According to them, the Supreme Court has not ruled on any case in favor of Odeneho Akrofa Krukokor II, they further noted that Katakyie Ntsiful Essel V has been installed as the substantive Omanhene of Wassa Fiase Traditional area.

”We the undersigned kignmakers of the wassa fiase Traditional Area wish to make categorically clear that we have installed Katakyie Ntsiful Essel V as the Omanhene of the Wassa Fiase Traditional area.

The present therefore is to sound a note of caution to all persons both individuals and corporate entities to disregard all press conferences by any other persons describing themselves as the Omanhene of Wassa Fiase Traditional Area.

We wish to reiterate that, Wassa Fiase has only one paramount chief and our paramount chief is Katakyie Ntsiful Essel V.

For avoidance of doubt, the statutory and designated traditional council for Wassa Fiase is located at Tarkwa and all matters relating to Wassa Fiase paramountcy can be directed to the traditional council.

Additionally, we want to put on record that, the supreme court has not ruled or judged any case in favor of George Kignsley Ampong (a. k. a Odeneho Akrofa Krukokor)” The name is Sekyere Heman not Tarkwa Sekyer. Nana Kwadu Kyerefo II indicated.
