Chief of Dormaa-Ahenkro commended

Wamanafo (B/A), Jan 20, GNA - Nana Owusu Ababio, chief of the Benkum division of Wamanafo in the Dormaa traditional area, has lauded the achievements of Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyemang Badu II, paramount chief of the Dormaa traditional area.

Making the commendation through the Ghana News Agency at Wamanafo on Wednesday, the Benkumhene said many were those who felt skeptical about the Omanhene's ability to deliver when he was enstooled six years ago. "However, barely six years after his enstoolment, he has proved his doubting Thomases wrong by providing infrastructure such as a police station, a sports stadium and a mortuary at Dormaa-Ahenkro," he observed.

Nana Owusu Ababio said the Omanhene's leadership qualities and proper management and planning extended beyond the borders of Dormaa and currently, communities like Chiraa, Abesim and Bomaa, all in the Brong-Ahafo region, have benefited from his benevolence in the form of the provision of toilet facilities.

Apart from this, Osagyefo Agyemang Badu has also instituted some scholarship schemes for a total of 650 pupils and students. Nana Owusu Ababio said chieftaincy disputes and disunity in the area have been brought to the barest minimum paving way for a collaborative management of issues and resources for development.
