Sheikh Dr Nuhu Sharubutu, the National Chief, has commended the 2016 Presidential Candidate of the Progressive Peoples’ Party (PPP) Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom for the exhibition of entrepreneurial acumen, which has led to the creation of jobs across the country.
“Dr Nduom in an unprecedented manner touched and transformed lives of many in our societies without discrimination and that is the hallmark of a true patriot worthy of emulation,” Shiekh Dr Sharubutu stated in a statement copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra on Friday.
According to the statement, Sheikh Dr. Sharubutu also commended Dr. Nduom highly for his noble achievement in entrepreneurship which with all intents and purposes have provided Jobs and continue to do so for the unemployed in our societies including the Zongos.
According to the statement, the Chief Imam made the commendation during a meeting with the leadership of Zawren Nduom Movement at Fadama in Accra.
The Movement had gone to introduce the group and also invited the Chief Imam Sheikh Dr Nuhu Sharubutu to its maiden Maulud (celebration of the birthday of Holy Prophet Mohammed S.A.W) at Elmina in March 2017.
The Chief Imam urged the leadership of the group to pursue selfless ideas and ideals necessary to help bring about socio-economic paradigm of development in Zongo communities and extended his profound goodwill greetings through the leadership of Zawren Nduom to Dr. Nduom.
The Zawren Nduom Movement delegation was led by Chief Alhaji Yahaya Hamisu Baako IV, the Chief of Sabon Zongo and Chairman of Council of Elders of Zawren Nduom Movement.
Chief Baako informed the National Chief Imam about the mission and the objectives for the formation of the movement by some prominent Chiefs and opinion leaders of Zongo communities and beyond.
Chief Baako used the occasion to highlight some of the achievement of Dr. Nduom, especially in job creation and involvement in many social interventions across Zongo and Muslim communities.
He further emphasises on Dr Nduom’s developmental philosophies which he said were in sync with the basic teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammed (S.A.W).
He said especially his comprehensive policy on free education for all Ghanaian children of school going age from kindergarten to Senior High School.
The Members of the delegation included Chief Yusif Idris, Patron; Chief Zakaria Tahiru Kuta III, Executive Council Chairman; Chief Yusif Abdulai Vice Chairman, Executive Council; and Nana Okyere Anokurabuakwa II Member, Council of Elders.
The rest are Togbi Abdul Razak Mawuko Member, Council of Elders; Alhaji Mudathr Bamba (National Co-ordinator; and Alhaji Hassan Baaba Keene Member, Council of Elders.
