Chairman Yu Zhengsheng celebrates Dr. Kwame Nkrumah

His Excellency, Yu Zhengshen, Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, has paid a glowing tribute to the late Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, First President of the Republic of Ghana.

Chairman Yu who sees Dr. Nkrumah as the bond of friendship between the Peoples Republic of China and Ghana and Africa as whole, laid a wreathe on the tomb of the late Osagyefo to signify his respect when he visited the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, Sunday.

While at the Memorial Park, Chairman Yu, who also Heads Tibet (and Xinjiang) Leading Small Group, visited the mango tree that was planted by the late Nelson Mandela.Chairman Yu visits Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park

He was accompanied by the Speaker of the Parliament of Ghana, Rt. Hon. Edward Doe Adjaho and some other dignatories from the two countries (Ghana and China).

Chairman Yu is on a four-day State visit to Ghana to deepen bilateral and cultural ties between the West African nation.

He arrived on Saturday, April 16 and is expected to return to his home country on April 19, 2016.

The Politburo Standing Committee Member while in Ghana would tour some partnership projects between Ghana/China to get first hand information about those projects and how they are impacting on society.
