Mother’s you are our frontline workers before Coronavirus, during and beyond. Being a mum is a 24/7 job for 365 days of your life. The clock never stops. So this Mother’s Day 2020, The Henry Djaba Memorial Foundation wishes all mothers a special happy Mother’s Day.

We appreciate the love and sacrifices you make for us at the expense of yourselves, the discomfort of pregnancy, painful delivery, sleepless nights of nursing, nurturing and watching us grow up.

Mother’s are essential workers who transform our lives. Through thick and thin, mother’s are there, nurturing, inspiring and urging children on. If you agree that there would be no society without a mother, then show your mother or a mum some special love today.

On this occasion of Mother’s ’ Day, we want to tell all mothers, that we appreciate you, your love, protection, prayers, time, sacrifices and all the better things you denied yourself to see your children happy and become better persons. We owe all that we are to you, mothers. Thank you for protecting children from the hunger virus and for all your care during this Coronavirus pandemic.

The Foundation wishes to give a special acknowledgement and to express our profound gratitude to mother’s with disability, with breast cancer and other ailments, ‘Kayayei’ mothers and mothers who care for children or people with disability and or are sick. It is not easy to be a mum and to be a mum with disability or to be a Carer of children with disability takes exceptional courage and commitment.

For those who have lost their mothers, remember, a mother’s love does not die, the memories do not fade, the good times you spent with her remain forever, so celebrate her in your heart.

To mother’s who neglect their children, who abuse children, who are irresponsible, who forsake them, ran away from their children or throw them away, please have a change of attitude, mind and heart, because motherhood is a precious gift and a gracious lifetime opportunity.

What mother’s do, especially seeing us through life’s challenges and this pandemic, will echo through eternity and we cannot thank you enough - except to say WE LOVE YOU. HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to all mothers and God bless you. Ayeekoo!!!
