At least eight people are feared dead and 11 others injured in a ghastly accident that occurred on Saturday afternoon at Ewusiejoe near Agona Nkwanta in the Ahanta West District of the Western Region at about 3pm.

The accident, according to Nhyiraba Paa Kwesi Simpson of local radio station Skyy Power FM, involved a Stanbic Bank branded mini bus, that was travelling from Takoradi and another Takoradi-bound mini bus.

Some passengers in the other bus who survived sustained severe injuries.

The bodies of the dead have been taken to the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital.
