Calm has been restored at the Glorious Word and Power Ministry International church after some irate youth stormed the church premises to destroy properties.

The day will remain memorable in the life of the security man who was having his bath when the youth attacked.

During a visit at the church Thursday afternoon, the security man, Robert Missinou said calm was restored shortly after the attack. He added that the police were at the premises from the night of the incidence till the next day.

Narrating the incident, he said he could have lost his life if he didn’t run as the youth aimed at hitting him.

Even though Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah is yet to visit the church premises after the incident, it is reported that some pastors in the church were there to gather information.

The Founder of the Glorious Word and Power Ministries International, during the watchnight service in his church on 31st December 2018 prophesied that the Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharunutu will die this year.

He also claimed that former President John Mahama and Dr Mahamudu Bawumia may die in 2019 and advised them to pray to avert it.

These prophecies, particularly the one about the Chief Imam triggered the attack on his church by the Muslim youth who have threatened to deal with Rev Owusu Bempah if he fails to apologise.

In a video circulating on social media, the agitated youth have given the controversial man of God, a 24-hour ultimatum to withdraw his prophecies of doom or experience worst attacks.

The youth led by their well-built ‘spokesperson’ threatened to attack Rev Owusu Bempah and shed his blood if he fails to eat the humble pie and further cautioned him against predicting doom for any member of the Islamic community.

However, the Chief Imam as well as the Minister for Inner Cities and Zongo Development, Mustapha Hamid have called for calm amongst the Muslim community.
