CPP to open more offices nationwide

Juaso (Ash), Oct 7, GNA - The Convention People's Party (CPP) has signalled its determination to make strong showing in next year's General Election, with the opening of more offices throughout the country. Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom, the Party's 2008 Presidential Candidate, said th= e move is meant to help inject vibrancy into the party and make it attractive to voters.

He said the CPP has a greater potential and that the offices would ensure 93its visibility and re-organisation to win political power, come December 2012". Dr Nduom made this known when inaugurated the Juaso Office of the part= y in the Asante-Akim South Constituency. He opened other offices Asante-Akim North, Bosome-Freho, Ejisu-Juaben, New Edubiase Kumawu and Adansi-Akrofrom constituencies during his two-day visit to the Ashanti Region. Dr Nduom said the CPP has critically analysed and assessed its performance in previous elections and has come out with strategies to achieve electoral success. He vowed to do everything possible to resource the party and provide i= t with the needed logistics. He promised 40 motor cycles and four vehicles to aid some of the constituencies to enhance mobility and political campaign to win over more voters ahead of Election 2012. Dr Nduom said he would also sponsor 50 of the party's parliamentary candidates as part of his contribution to efforts at increasing the CPP's representation in Parliament. Ghana, he said, needed the CPP to turn the economy around and end the economic hardships and soaring unemployment that are fuelling cynicism amon= g the population. He urged the party's members to remain united, disciplined and accep= t to make the necessary sacrifices to bring the CPP back to power. He expressed his support for the biometric registration to be carried out by the Electoral Commission, saying it would eliminate cheating and fraud during elections. Madam Mary Ankumah Boakye-Boateng, National Woman Organiser, asked the constituency organisers to work hard to assist the electorate to have bette= r understanding of the CPP's ideology.
