CPP organizers blood donation exercise

The Convention People’s Party on Wednesday organized a blood donation exercise at the Freedom and Justice Park in Accra, to help salvage the country’s blood banks which are presently facing difficulties.

The exercise, which started at exactly 10:00 am attracted score of people, including students and traders in the locality.

Addressing journalists, National Chairperson of the party, Samia Nkrumah, congratulated the youth for their enthusiasm and promised to organize such events regularly.

“There is no other better way CPP party could show love for the nation than to share the blood of party sympathizers with Ghanaians. All the political parties need to emulate this initiative”, she advised.

Communications Director of the party, Nii Armah Akomfra, in an interview described the programme as the first of its kind revealing that the party intends to make it an annual affair.

Expressing satisfaction with the exercise, Mr. Kojo Adade, an ardent follower of the party added, “I didn’t want to stay at home and listen to the radio because all you hear is noise; and participating in such programmes is very necessary".
