Mr Emmanuel Barimah-Boakye, a philanthropist, has presented an electronic Veronica bucket valued at GHC 1,000.00 to the St Theresa’s Catholic Hospital at Nkoranza in the Bono East Region.

It is to aid hand washing with soap and stem the spread of the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) among health officials, clients and visitors.

Users would not have to touch the bucket because it has a sensor and uses electricity to power the water to make hand washing easier.

Mr Barimah-Boakye, an Estate Manager at the Yamfo College of Health in the Tano North Municipality of the Ahafo Region and a native of Nkoranza, said the donation was his widow’s mite towards the prevention of the outbreak of the COVID-19 in the Municipality.

A similar presentation, he said, has been made to the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Hospital in Sunyani and would soon present one to the Sunyani Regional Hospital in too.

Mr Cosmos Yeboah, the Human Resource Manager of the Hospital, thanked him for the gesture and appealed to others to emulate the patriotic effort.
