CK Akonnor takes Nassam Yakubu to AshGold

Head coach of Ashanti Gold, Charles Kwabena Akonnor has recommended Nassam Yakubu to take up the role as the new goalkeepers trainer.

Akonnor wants strategic plans for the Miners before the start of the new season in order not to experience the misfortune they went through last season.

The Miners narrowly escaped relegation last season after the intervention of the former Black Stars captain.

Nassam Yakubu who helped Mdeama to reach the group stages of the CAF Confederations Cup two seasons ago is expected to replicate his good display with the former Ghana Premier League champions.

He previously worked as the goalkeepers Coach for the Black Stars team. He also worked as the goalkeepers trainer for Hearts of Oak.
