CAF boss Ahmad disappointed with Morocco's 2026 failed World Cup bid

CAF boss Ahmad Ahmad has expressed his disappointment after Morocco failed to win the right to host the 2026 World Cup.

The North African were hoping to count on the votes from fellow African nations to win win the right but were left in shock after a triangle bid from USA, Mexico and Canada did the trick.

And CAF boss Ahmad Ahmad has expressed his disappointment over the turn of event.

"It's very difficult to get 100 percent votes of Africa." he said in a statement.

The American trio won 134 votes while Moroccan garnered 65 votes.

The King of Morocco has insisted that the country must bid for the 2030 World Cup.

It follows the announcement from football's world-governing body Fifa on Wednesday that the North African nation had lost out to the US, Canada and Mexico's joint bid to host the 2026 event.
