CAF Confed Cup: Kotoko name 18-man squad to face Kariobangi Sharks

Asante Kotoko coach CK Akunnor has named a strong 18-man squad for their CAF Confederation Cup first qualifying round first leg tie against Kariobangi Sharks in Kenya on Saturday.

The squad includes experienced duo Jordan Opoku- a former captain- and Daniel Nii Adjei who won the competition with TP Mazembe.

Talisman Sogne Yacouba from Burkinabe is on board for his continental debut as well as Guinean import Naby Keita.

The team will fly out from the Kotoka International Airport at 8 pm local time.

Kotoko beat Ghana U23 3-0 in Accra on Sunday to wrap up preparations for their first Africa assignment after getting a walkover in the preliminary round.

Kariobangi Sharks secured a 9-2 win over Djiboutian side Alter Solar in the previous qualifying round.
