CAF Confed Cup : Four home goals will ensure your qualification - Ahmed Toure Tells Kotoko

Former Asante Kotoko striker, Ahmed Simba Toure believes the Porcupines can book their ticket to the group phase of the CAF Confederation Cup,if they can be up against San Pedro FC by four unanswered goals when they host them at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium for the first leg in Kumasi.

The Porcupine Warriors were seeded in Group A ahead of the draw, and will now have to beat the Ivorian side to navigate their way into the group stages after losing out in the Champions League to Étoile Sportive du Sahel.

“Yesterday I heard the draw and I was happy because Kotoko have advantage over San Pedro. They have made lots of changes to their team, most of their players left after last season but now football is not about advantage”. He said.

“Kotoko have to score more goals in Ghana, at least 3-0, 4-0 will make Kotoko free going into the second leg in Abidjan. Kotoko will have to take more advantage of the the first leg at home.” He continued.

“They’ve made lots of recruitment this season, they have bought most of the experience teams in the Ivorian league and they are good”.

“Kotoko players must know that San Pedro is a team that plays like an academy side, they like to play good football”. He added.
