Bush to welcome Kufuor to white house

Visit by President John Kufuor of the Republic of Ghana

President Bush will welcome President John Kufuor of the Republic of Ghana to the White House on April 12, 2006. The visit will provide an opportunity for the President to recognize Ghana's strong democracy and President Kufuor's efforts to invest in the people of Ghana. The two leaders also will discuss a broad range of regional and international issues including continuing cooperation in regional security, trade, debt relief, education, combating HIV/AIDS, and Ghana's upcoming compact with the Millennium Challenge Corporation.

WASHINGTON, April 5 -- The following is a statement by the White House Press Secretary:
