Brong-Ahafo Chapter of Credit Union initiates project

The Brong-Ahafo Chapter of Ghana Co-operative Credit Unions Association Limited has performed a sod-cutting ceremony at Abesim near Sunyani for the construction of a one-storey office complex estimated at GHc330,668.00.

The facility comprises a conference hall and four offices, Mr Emmanuel Coffie, Manager of the Chapter told the Ghana News Agency in an interview in Sunyani.

Mr Divine Amenya, immediate past Regional Chair of the Chapter who presided over an annual general meeting that preceded the ceremony said the office complex would be economically and administratively beneficial for association.

He said the project would also promote credit unions in the Chapter through capacity building, effective monitoring and supervision of their activities.

Mr Isaac Amponsah, Managing Director, Ike Home of Quality Tiles and Construction Limited in Sunyani, a construction firm executing the project indicated that it would be completed within 18 months.
