Breman Essiam (C/R), Aug. 31, GNA - A 36-year-old Accra-based businesswoman, Mrs Abena Essilfie, has been enstooled Asafoanye (queen of Asafo company) of Breman Essiam Traditional Area.
She has the stool name Asafoanye Abena Aframaa in succession to her late grandmother, Asafoanye Abena Ntsiriwaah, who died in October 2009.
Asafoanye Aframaa later swore the oath of allegiance to the Paramount Chief, Odeefor Afrankwa III, and the entire people of Essiam including the Asafo Company.
Later in an interview with the Ghana News Agency, Asafoanye Aframaa called on Ghanaians, especially the citizens of Essiam, to pay regular visits home and support ongoing development projects.
She mentioned the establishment of an Education Endowment fund to assist brilliant but needy pupils with emphasis on the girl-child.
Asafoanye Aframaa said as a businesswoman, she would initiate training of the unemployed youth in the area in dressmaking and hairdressing among other things.
