The Chief of Breman, Nana Boatei Kunten Seraman II, has urged Ghanaians to support President John Mahama to complete the development projects he has begun for the country.

The chief, who was addressing a gathering in the Twi language at Suame in the Ashanti Region on Tuesday, 8 November during a visit by the president said: “If President Mahama has been able to provide good roads in Breman and continues to bring development to other areas in Ghana, then the December 7 elections is his for the taking.”

“They said I am doing politics but please I am not doing politics, as human beings when you see a good thing [you say it], I cannot stand anywhere and insult the president as other people are doing. When you are a president, it is not by human might but by the will of God that you occupy that position.

“So, let me say that it is God who has given us Mahama, let us support him and pray for God’s guidance and strength for him to finish the race.

“Ghanaians, if someone is doing something and he has not finished, you don’t go and kick him out. He is alive; he has the strength and the vision”.

The chief’s comments come in the wake of a warning by Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to his sub-chiefs to not veer into partisan politics in the build-up to the 2016 elections.
