Former Asante Kotoko player and manager for Kwame Bonsu, Yussif Alhassan Chibsah believes Bonsu’s football career is a blessing no one thought could come easy but believes the hard work and determination by the player has also played a major role.

According to Chibsah, the player who has easily resurrected his football career has a lot of talents to exhibit.

Bonsu, who has been impressive since joining the Porcupine Warriors is believed to have earned his maiden call up to the senior national team ahead of Africa Cup of Nations qualifier clash against Kenya on March 23, in Accra.

"I personally believe it's a blessing in disguise but it doesn't just happen. It calls for hardwork, determination and discipline, he told Kumasi FM.

“He didn't had it easy. He struggled to earn a first team place but through the encouragement we gave and his hardwork, he's doing great now".

"I've known him for a couple of years and I know his qualities and abilities reason why I've been behind him all this while but I've cautioned him against complacency".

He added that "Kwame Bonsu is a player who started his football in Kumasi and those who know him can testify he has more in him. He has a lot more to offer for Ghana football. We need to guide and encourage him".

Chibsah recounted the psychological work he did on Bonsu to reach this enigmatic feet.

"In life when you are faced with a trial of which you are innocent, it serves as a motivation and has less effect on you. I used Jobs' story as a reference to encourage him.

“His ex thought he was destroying his career but it's the opposite now. It's been a blessing in disguise".
