Bolgatanga East MP promises more development projects

Mr Dominic Akuritinga Ayine, Member of Parliament(MP) for Bolgatanga East, has promised to provide bore holes for portable water and extend electricity to the communities in his constituency that need them in addition to other development projects.

Mr Ayine, also the Deputy Attorney General, who was speaking at a gathering of the National Democratic Congress Party’s sympathisers at Dulugu, near Bolgatanga, said his position in the Party and being an MP would enable him bring more development projects to the area, adding that the current development projects going on in the constituency was only a tip of the ice berg.

Mr Ayine who is contesting the November 7, NDC primaries with Mr Timothy Ayamga, and Mr Lance Adugba, appealed to the delegates to vote for him to enable him develop the area and the people if he maintained the parliamentary seat in 2016.

He mentioned on- going projects in the constituency as, a new NDC Party Office, estimated at GHC350.000.00, a community library being constructed at the cost of GHC572, 000.00 and fencing of the Zuarungu Senior High (Zusec).

Other projects according to him were the construction of a six classroom block with an office and store at Dugbila, renovation of the Kantia Day Care Center, ongoing construction of Gambibgo Community Day Senior High School and commissioning of a number of boreholes at Awanekonbiisi, Asonge, Dachio, Dulugu, Zuarungu Moshie and Dugbila communities.

Mr Ayine said through the Common Fund he sponsored 215 students and assisted 24 students who had applied to go to the nurses’ training school.

He appealed to his supporters to campaign for him but cautioned them against insults, backbiting and lies, which he noted were not necessary, as all the contestants belonged to one party and anything nasty would affect the Party, saying “if any one of us wins, it will raise the image of the Party”.
