Bofoakwa Tano Beat Pro-Sports

Berekum (B/A), Sept 1, - Bofoakwa Tano beat Berekum Pro-Sports f/c, a third division side, 1-0 in a friendly football match played at Berekum yesterday. Inside right Anthony Mintah scored the lone goal in the 80th minute, after a hectic goalless first half. The home team's twin-strikers of Captain Kofi Taah and Abass Caesar, attacking from all angles, forced the defence of Bofoakwa to work overtime to keep them at bay, ending the first half scoreless. Back from recess, Bofoakwa, who paraded their top stars including Philip Opoku Sampene, defender Nana Eshun and goal-keeper Sarfo threw everything into attack and scored the lone goal through Mintah in the 80th minute. Pro-Sports, who are preparing towards this year's Berekum district third division football league, had in their previous friendly matches beaten Kyekyewere Exodus Stars 10-1 at Berekum and Techiman Olympics 2-0 at Techiman.
