Boeing International, Ghana donates to three institutions

Accra, Feb.9, GNA - The Boeing International Corporation - Ghana on Wednesday presented cheques totalling 41,330 dollars to three Non Governmental Organisations (NGO) as part of its global initiatives to improve the quality of life in its business communities.

The organisations are the Habitat for Humanity, which received 9,930 dollars, Princess Marie Louis (PML) Hospital, 15,000 dollars with 16,400 dollars going to Reach the Children, a West African based (NGO) which seeks the welfare of children.

Making the presentation, Thomas Frisby, Executive Director of Boeing International said, "We feel privileged and committed to support the worthy humanitarian course advocated by recipients. Our work with you today entrenches our senses of belonging to our community and represent one of the many steps we need to take together, hand in hand, in order to provide a better tomorrow for our children."

He said the company's leadership recognised the critical corporate citizenship roles it played in many diverse communities around the globe.

He noted that the company's sustained involvement and long-term investment in communities where it did business were important elements of the corporate culture and an integral part of the way it did business.

Father Andrew Cambel, of the PML Hospital, Denis Lewis of Habitat for Humanity and Agyarko Mintah of the Reach the children took turn to expressed their appreciation to Boeing's Ghana office for making them beneficiaries of their benevolence.
