Blame Kufour For Vulture Hunting -NDC MP

The National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and MP for Fanteakwa, Hon. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo has urged Ghanaians to blame President Kufour for the killing of vultures for supply to chop bar operators.

Speaking at a meeting with NDC executives from Techiman, Wenchi, Nkoranza and Kintampo at Nkoranza, Hon. Ofosu Ampofo said the harsh economic policies of the Kufour government has led to an increase in the price of chicken as a result of which unemployed youth have taken advantage to make the vulture a substitute for chicken. The NDC Organiser said the poor boys should not be blamed since in his view the jobs that President Kufour promised have become a mirage whilst husbands cannot afford the price of chicken. He said the harsh economic policies of the NPP government have not only made vultures victims but is also destroying many marriages.

Hon. Ofosu Ampofo alleged that the NPP Government has increased utility tariff rates to the extent that at the end of every month strife erupts in many homes over bills. He said President Kufour in his bid to kill the transport system has after increasing petroleum prices by about 300% has also increased vehicle income tax as well as insurance premium for vehicles.
