The Black Stars have suffered a robbery attack in Vienna as they prepare to face Austria in an international friendly on March 27, 2026.
According to Sporty FM, the players and technical team members were victims of the incident and lost several valuables.
Reports indicate that the team lost an undisclosed amount of cash, as well as watches valued at $20,000 after investigations.

The attack occurred just hours before Ghana’s clash with Austria, part of their preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Fortunately, there were no reports of any players or technical team members being physically harmed during the incident.
Ghana will be making its fifth appearance at the FIFA World Cup, which will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico later this year.
The team’s build-up begins on Friday, March 27, when they face Austria at Vienna’s Ernst Happel Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 17:00 GMT.
Three days later, the Black Stars will travel to Stuttgart to take on Germany at the MHP Arena.
