Bishop Designate Evans Glover Bishop This May

“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven;” Eccl. 3:1. When the season of fulfillment of the Divine plan of God is due, nothing holds it back.

May 7th 2011 will go down in the history of Christiandom as the day God anointed another Shepherd after His own heart. For what has man for all his days of toil if he does not travail for the sake of the Kingdom? Evans Glover the General Overseer of Shiloh Gospel Ministries International has climbed the Ecclesiastical ladder through to the Apostolic rung and now to the Episcopacy. The venue and time for this May’s function is the auditorium of Lutheran Church of St Andrew, New Hampshire Church Avenue Silver Spring, MD, 20905 at 10.00am prompt.

Prior to the occasion which changed his status to Bishop-Elect and Bishop-Designate, were solemn ceremonies on August 8th 2010 and January 9th 2011 respectively at Laurel, Maryland. Both were witnessed by a high-profile delegation of Clergy of North American Churches. His induction into the sacred office was performed by His Grace, Right- Rev. Bishop Samuel Fuah of Kingdom Life Fellowship International Inc. Atlanta under the authority of Almighty God and the endorsement of Glory of Life International Fellowship, Kingdom Life Fellowship International Inc. and the River of Life Fellowship of Churches. In his remarks of acceptance Bishop-Designate Glover offered his sincere gratitude to God for bringing him to this moment of his life in Ministry. He said he has accepted the designation with humility acknowledging the immense responsibility this new position is bringing him and his family. He hoped that it will articulate him and the entire Ministry to facilitate the attainment of the vision and mission of God’s purpose.

In his sermon, His Grace, the Rt. Rev. Bishop Samuel Fuah who also represented the College of North American Bishops, emphasized the need for Christians to have a strong foundation in Christ Jesus that can stand the test of time. Bishop Fuah accentuated the fact that the mind of a man is a battlefield, where good and evil cross swords; hence the need for all to have God-centered minds. “We need a solid foundation in Christ for our knowledge of God to become relevant in times of challenges.” He supported his admonition by quoting Romans 12: 2 of the Bible which reads:

”Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – His good, pleasing and perfect will.”

He articulated the need for all to do an extensive soul-searching, go into the depth of self to be able to appreciate the meaning of what the word of God says in Romans 12:2 and how to apply it in life.

For the future to stand the test of time, Christians, he continued, must not get weary of learning the word. God, he emphasized, is continually calling people into service and Christians must be ready to respond to the call. He underscored the need for counsel from older men of God in the walk of faith. He advised: “Seek God. And let Him give you a Word; God wants you to win in life.”

He further encouraged the gathering by quoting Isaiah 3:10 which read: “Say to the righteous it is well with them, for they shall enjoy the fruits of their deeds.”

He concluded:

“See yourself as God sees you. Before you become somebody you must know who you are. You are not an accident; you are the perception of perfection when God made you; know who you are.”

Bishop Designate Evans Glover, a powerful orator of the Word of God has since 1978 graced many national and international podiums in Ministry. Between 1997 and 2005 he co-founded the Zoe International Chapel and Ministries which he nurtured into a complex of Pre- School, High School and a Computer Training Institute in North Kaneshie, Accra. Headquartered in Switzerland the Ministries is well entrenched in Europe. This unassuming and zealous Man-of-God continued his outreach for the population of the Kingdom of God into North America, where he established Shiloh Gospel Ministries International. He is currently the President of African, Caribbean and African American Cassa of the United State of America; an advocacy group that is the voice of minorities and migrants of African descent.

The huge support behind him is Lady Rev. Yvonne Glover, his wife and Vice-President of the Ministry. She has oversight on the Humanitarian sector of the Ministry; focusing on spiritual and material needs of women and children in deprived communities. The powerful pair has stood the test of time in healing and deliverance of many all over North America to the glory of the Almighty God.
