Bishop Adonteng Boateng speaks after rescuing a child from fire incident

Bishop John Adonteng Boateng, the founder and leader of Divine World International Ministries in Virginia, recently made headlines following his heroic act during a fire incident in Maryland on April 8, 2024.

In a viral video capturing the moment, Bishop Boateng could be seen rescuing a young boy from the flames.

In an exclusive interview with Max News, Bishop Boateng shed light on the events that led him to intervene in the incident.

"I was travelling to Maryland from Virginia, and suddenly there was this huge explosion. I stopped and ran towards the fire to see if I could help anybody in danger," he recounted.

Upon arriving at the scene, Bishop Boateng joined forces with two other individuals who were already assisting the victims.

He rescued the child, ensuring his safety away from the engulfing flames.

Reflecting on the experience, Bishop Boateng emphasized his belief in the duty of individuals, particularly men of faith, to extend a helping hand to those in need.

"This is the worst time of human life when we come close to death.

“I have seen the end of many lives as a minister, but to see this young child hearing his mom cry for help, he could hear the mommy but he couldn’t find where the mother was so I had to comfort him that his mom will not die and he will be fine,” he added

"Apart from it being a ministry, I am not a hero. The men and women who die serving in the military to protect us, are the real heroes.

“So, the whole of America, this is what we stand for in times of calamity and disaster, and I am just being an American."
