Bisease churches launch outreach programme

Ajumako Bisease (C/R), March 30, GNA - The local council of churches at Biasease in the Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam district has embarked on a long-term outreach programme aimed at bringing all Christians together for a common goal.

Under the programme, members would pay periodic visits to sister churches to engage in religious education, Bible quiz, and singing competition among other things.

Mr Emmanuel K. Fosu, Secretary to the association said the move was meant for the spiritual upliftment and unity of all who preach the Bible and to foster friendly relations so as to prevent religious conflicts.

The programme also seeks to pray continually for peace and stability towards the presidential and parliamentary elections scheduled for December. During the conference the participants paid a visit the local St Michael Catholic Church.

Addressing the congregation the Rev. Fr. M. Ocran, Parish Priest in charge of the district, reminded the congregation to love one another, be each other's keeper to shame the devil.

He said, "Christ gave up his life by dying on the cross for our sins, this we as followers of Christ must reciprocate by showing concern for our fellow men, since we profess the same faith".
