Accra, July 17, GNA 96 Another impressive performance of ECOBANK in trading on the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) on Monday sustained last Friday's gain of the Accra bourse.
ECOBANK gained 141 cedis at the end of trading at 11,202 cedis after selling nearly all the 1.35 million shares traded on the floor. The GSE All-Share Index, the main stock index, ended 7.55 points higher at 4,844.67 points from 4,837.12 points on Friday. Change for the year to date went up at 1.59 per cent from 1.43 per cent.
Traded volumes surged to 1,353,000 shares from 68,200 with ECOBANK, which began trading on Friday, selling 1,246,700 shares. On the broader market, there were two price changes, both positive. ECOBANK gained 141 cedis at 11,202 cedis while Enterprise Insurance Company was two cedis better at 8,122 cedis.
Market capitalisation was also better at 97,100.58 billion cedis from 97,077.79 billion cedis.
