The items donated included; hand gloves, face masks, hand sanitisers, dozens of liquid soap, bags of rice, maize, dozens of cooking oil, hand tissues and veronica buckets.

The outreach comes in the wake of increasing number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ghana. The Ghana Health Service recorded 3,091 individuals who have tested positive of the virus, eighteen deaths and 303 recoveries.

According to Lawyer Sosu, his decision to embark on this outreach is motivated by his belief that wearing of nose masks and regular hand washing is the best way to overcome the virus.

He added that this exercise falls in line with former president John Dramani Mahama's promise to assist constituencies with relief items.

He commended the ex-president for his enormous support and also encouraged citizens to be law-abiding especially as the country is fighting the coronavirus disease.
