Award winning radio and television personality Benard Avle, on Friday 30th November 2018 interacted with attendees of the maiden edition of the Youth Opportunities Summit in Accra. In what appeared a life-changing moment of expositions with the broadcast journalist, the forum enabled participants to benefit from his diverse personal life experiences as well as career hacks on “Time, Purpose and Opportunities”; a topic he delivered a presentation on.
“What makes time meaningful is Purpose. Life without Purpose is time without meaning. Purpose gives meaning to time. Life is not duration but in donation.”, he said, and emphasized the need for the Ghanaian youth to make opportunities out of the militating problems.
The summit, held at the Christ the King Hall, Accra under the theme, “Making the Most of Opportunities” brought together youth leaders, young achievers, students, and activists from different backgrounds across the country.
Country Ambassador for Youth Opportunities Ghana, Patrick Fynn highlighting the background of the gathering and the organizing body stated that the goal of the forum was to harness a sense of self-development in participants, encourage and guide them to pursue skill and capacity development prospects and will enable individuals to make informed decisions about their lives and careers. In session were other panel speakers cut out from various global fellowships and youth development programs.
