Asare also indicated that Kane deserved the award, considering his impressive performances during the season under review, which saw him win titles and score numerous goals.
“Congratulations bro, you deserve it,” Asare wrote on X.
Kane became the first English player to win the Ballon d’Or since Michael Owen in 2001 after being crowned the world’s best player at a ceremony in London.
The 33-year-old Bayern Munich striker is the fifth Englishman to win the award, following Stanley Matthews in 1956, Bobby Charlton in 1966, Kevin Keegan in 1978 and 1979, and Owen in 2001.
Kane scored 61 goals in 51 club appearances last season, the most goals scored by a Bayern Munich player in a single campaign. Including his England appearances, he registered 73 goals and eight assists in 65 matches.
