Bede Zeideng goes wild: NDP will die like DFP

Bede Zeideng, Executive Member of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), says the newly formed National Democratic Party (NDP), was likely to suffer the same fate like that of the Democratic Freedom Party (DFP).

Speaking to an Accra based radio station, Mr. Zeideng affirmed that it is imperative that founders of the NDP let the fate of the DFP be a guide to them instead of pretending to be making serious inroads at the grassroots level.

“Our experiences ought to guide the NDP. We went and we did not succeed and we have come back”, he added.

The NDP like the defunct DFP is a breakaway party of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Members of the DFP, including Dr. Obed Asamoah, Mr. Zeideng and its National Chairman, Alhaji Abdul Raman Issaka, were back in the fold of the NDC, after the demise of that party.

The NDP, according to reports, is relying heavily on the former first lady and wife of the former President, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings, to be its flag bearer in the impending general elections.
