Bawumia gifts new Toyota car with customised plate to Chief Imam

The vice president, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has given out a brand new car to the National Chief Imam Alhaji Osman Nuhu Sharubutu.

The Toyota Avalon saloon car gift came with a number plate customised as 'C IMAM 1 – 18' in reference to the title of Sharubutu. According to “The Today’s Muslim”, an Islamic page on Facebook, the car was given as a gift to Sharubutu on the occasion of his 61st Annual Maulid Celebration since becoming the Chief Imam.

The Maulid is a yearly celebration marked by Tijanniya Muslims to celebrate the birth of the Holy Prophet Mohammed(SAW) "The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia gifts the National Chief Imam a brand New Toyota Avalon Customized C IMAM 1 on the occasion of his 61st Annual Maulid Celebration.

"#Maulid is a yearly celebration marked by Tijanniya Muslims to celebrate the birth of the Holy Prophet Mohammed(SAW). On such occasions, a revered Mallam highlights the virtues of the Holy Prophet(SAW) and seek to admonish his audience to follow the path of Allah and his Messenger for a better Life in this World and the Hereafter.

"This year's Maulid under the auspices of the National Chief Imam is slated for Saturday, 8th December, 2018.

"May Allah Continue to make our Country Peaceful and as well spare the Life of the National Chief Imam for a lot more years to Come," the post read.

In photos accompany the post, a happy and smiling Sharubutu could be seen gesturing Bawumia to embrace him.
