Bank Manager dies in domestic conflict

Kintampo (B/A), Mar. 10, GNA -- Mr Emmanuel Ofosu, Manager of the Kintampo Rural Bank died last Monday, March six, when a co-tenant hit his head with a piece of firewood during a domestic conflict.

Mr Ofosu, 41, is reported to have died soon on arrival at the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi where he was being rushed for attention. A source close to the bank told the Ghana News Agency at Kintampo on Friday that for some time now, Mr Ofosu has not been on good terms with his co-tenant, one Charles Effah, 30, and his wife Abena Pokuah.

This, the source said is due to incessant gossips about the manager by Effah and his wife. It said last Monday, Mr Ofosu, a native of Ahwirease in the Eastern Region pick up a quarrel with Mr Effah over the same issue during which he was hit on the head with the firewood. Effah and his wife Pokuah are in police custody.
