Former Member of Parliament [MP] for Bantama constituency in the Ashanti Region, Henry Kwabena Kokofu has called on members of the NDC especially its women wing and flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama to boldly speak about the recent comments made by Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi, leader of the Glorious Wave Ministries International.

According to him, members of the NDC have intentionally refused to comment on Prophet Badu Kobi's unsavoury statement which tarnished the image of women, because he is the spiritual advisor to their flagbearer and former President John Dramani Mahama.

“I know for a fact that Prophet Badu Kobi advises former President Mahama on his spiritual affairs as a leader of the NDC, they should come out and challenge me if my facts are wrong,” he bitterly lamented on UTV’s newspaper discussion programme.

Prophet Badu Kobi in a viral video described women of the Ashanti origin as most deadly wives in the world cautioning prospective husbands not dare marry women from the Ashanti tribe.

“If you marry Ashanti lady, you have imported problems to yourself forever. I have done research and it is so,” he said in the video during a sermon.

The founder and leader of the Glorious Wave Ministries International, Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi, courted controversy this weekend when he described women within Coastal lands of Ghana as unwise and unmarriageable materials, admonishing prospective husbands not to marry from that tribe compared to others in some parts of the country.

“Fanti women are foolish sometimes, and Ewes too are doormats. But for Ashanti women no!” he warned.

According to the controversial preacher, women of that origin are ungrateful and therefore will not allow any of his sons or close relations marry from the Ashanti tribe irrespective of the benefit or reason.
