Ayorkor leaves for South Africa

Accra, Aug. 21 GNA - Ms Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey (MP) and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and NEPAD is leading a Government delegation to participate in the 20th NEPAD Steering Committee meeting in Midrand, South Africa, from August 22 to August 23 2006.

The meeting would discuss among other things the agenda for the forthcoming 7th meeting of the Africa Partnership Forum (APF) to take place in Moscow, Russia from the October 26 to October 27 2006 year and preparation for the summit of the NEPAD Heads of State and Government Implementation Committee (HSGIC) which would also take place in Abuja, Nigeria from October 30 to October 31 2006.

A statement Ms Georgina Djameh, Acting Director/Information and Linguistics Bureau of the Ministry, signed said 93Ghana promises to feature prominently in the agenda of these forthcoming and APRM meetings in view of her lead in NEPAD and APRM implementation=94. The outcomes of the Midrand meeting would also immensely contribute to the preparation of Ghana to participate in the meetings. 21 Aug. 06
