The beneficiaries were screened of various indicators like blood sugar, ECG which checks the work rate of the heart, blood pressure, eye tests, among other disease at the their station in Tema.

Some of the beneficiaries (Fire Service Officer) were referred to St John’s Hospital in Accra for further treatment.

“Hon Ayew Afriyie is the board chairman of the hospital so he oversees all the activities of the hospital. He’s not doing it as a Member of Parliament. He is part of us as a team member of St John and fertility centre.

“Tomorrow we will come back and then complete it. Next week too we would be in the Tantra Community for another health screening. That one will be for the general public,” he said.

He added that, the MP and Board Chairman of the St John Hospital is concerned about their health and asked them to undertake regular medical check-ups and consult health professionals.
