Vice President of the Ghana Psychological Association has urged individuals to avoid reading everything that has to do with Coronavirus as this will further lead to unnecessary fear and panic.

Dr Collins Badu Agyemang indicated that, rather than focusing on the negatives, Ghanaians should take advantage of the positive side of the pandemic to build on skills and individual strengths.

Speaking at a press briefing, he reiterated, “Avoid reading everything corona, let's reduce the screen time and avoid beige watching simply because children are at home.”

“…we must reflect on the good things that we have, let’s be positive-minded,” he added.

He also urged parents to adopt ways to engage their children since they can easily get depressed because of what is going on.

"It gives us opportunities to bond with our children. Let's train them, let's engage them to do some of the house chores. We can play indoor games with them. It's an opportunity for us to tell them Ananse stories which we have lost. Education is not about the teacher standing in front of you... let's have time with them,"

Meanwhile, Sanitation Minister, Cecilia Abena Dapaah, has announced that her Ministry together with other Constituencies will commence a cleanup exercise in lock down areas today, April 3, 2020.

Among the major activities during the sanitation exercise is the desilting of choked big gutters in Greater Accra and Greater Kumasi.
