Attacks on my personality equal to mob justice – Zylofon boss

The Chief Executive Officer of Zylofon Media, Nana Appiah Mensah has disclosed that he cannot be ‘broken down’ by incessant attacks directed at him by some ‘ignorant’ Ghanaians on social media over his ‘bail out’ comment.

According to the CEO, damning verbal abuse and attacks on his personality on by some Ghanaians can be linked to that of mob justices suffered by the late Major Adam Mahama. Nana Appiah Mensah has come under fire from Ghanaian social media users after his ‘bail out’ tweet in memory of the late, Ebony.

The Zylofon Media boss in a tribute to Ebony after her sad demise twitted, “We had a fruitful meeting and reached an Agreement just last Tuesday, please help me pay him for my bail out. I want to be free". I hope you're free now & finds absolute peace in the bosom of the almighty God. Let's pay CRITICAL ATTENTION to our female artists". However, many Ghanains and social commentators who are outraged on social media have taken the CEO to the cleaners; describing his tribute to the late singer as an ‘insensitive.

Whiles some chide him for his poor communications skills, others have fired him for being immature for releasing such confidential information instead of sympathizing with the bereaved family.

But speaking on Zylofon Media on Monday, Nana Appiah Mensah who sort to clarify matters maintained that he did no wrong by paying his respect and tribute to the late Ebony, just as any other person did.

The CEO however stated that most social commentators bashing him on various social media platforms are ignorant about matters and have missed the real issues. “I am not beyond criticisms, but what hurts me the most of all the criticisms are verbal abuse and direct assault on my personality.

I take a strong exception and I would want to vehemently discourage that in our Ghanaian society, if we are truly mindful of development,” he lamented. He also added that he has pardoned such people hauling verbal abuse and assaults on him as their comments were borne out of pure ignorance, countenance with emotions “Such attacks seriously amount to mob justices, just as the late Major Mahama suffered few months back in Denkyira-Obuasi.

The very social menace we all joined and condemned and said never again in our society are being perpetrated by some respected Ghanaians including media personalities on me,” he lamented. Nana Appiah therefore called on Ghanaians to stop being hypocritical about Ghanaian female artistes and rather support and celebrate them whiles they are alive.
