Assemblyman calls for support to help clean and tackle the issue of insecurity in the Alajo North Electoral Area.

The Assembly Member for the Alajo North Electoral Area in the Ayawaso Central Municipal Assembly, Ibrahim Halidu has pledged to work with relevant authorities to tackle the issues of sanitation and insecurity in the area.

Mr Halidu who was sworn in last week at the Municipal office in Kokomelemele, Accra promised to work with the Municipal Assembly, the Religious bodies, schools and the people in the area to help improve the sanitation condition in the area.

He disclosed that one of the challenges in the community is sanitation and it is important to work with these relevant stakeholders to help address the challenges.

When asked about how he was going to help address the issue of insecurity. He indicated that firstly, his office was going to partner the District Police office to help address the issue of insecurity. And secondly his office with the support of the Municipal Assembly will help fix more lights and also repair the faulty ones in the community to help reduce crime in the area.

The Assembly Member who also has passion for youth development said he has plans of developing and empowering the youth in the area so they don't become a burden on the society.

Halidu who is a youth activist and an entrepreneur won the elections narrowly after vote collation and counting as he contested with Mukaila Mohammed Abass, Prince Charles, Isaac Gyamfi, Frederick Dankwa.
