Dr. Asemfoforo who is was critic of the current New Patriotic Party (NPP) was very vocal under the erstwhile President John Agyekum Kufuor’s administration and to some extent organized a one man demonstration against certain policies implemented by government at the time.

He reportedly went quit such criticism when the National Democratic Congress (NDC) won power in 2008 and took over the reigns of governance in 2009 till it exited power in 2016.
