Takoradi, Sept 9, GNA - Colonel M'Bawine Atintande, Director of Public Relations of the Ghana Armed Forces, on Wednesday called for corporation bTakoradi, Sept 9, GNA - Colonel M'Bawine Atintande, Director of Publicetween the media and military for national development.
He said that though the media and the military play different roles, they could compliment each other in nation building.
Col. Atintande said these when he toured the Western Regional Office of the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Takoradi, as part of his three-day visit to the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis.
He said: "The media and military are both working for the common good of the nation and there was no need for either of them to do anything that would affect the nation".
Col Atintande urged the media to report to his office any military personnel whose conduct leaves much to be desired instead of settling scores through their outlets.
He commended GNA for its contribution to national development and announced that the Ghana Armed Forces Week would be celebrated in November this year, and called on the media to participate in event.
Col Atintande also visited Skyy Media Group, Twin-City FM, ROK FM, Melody FM and Radio Maxx.
Miss Felicia Yeboah, Regional Manager of GNA, briefed Col Atintande about the work of the Agency.
