Armed robbers hack student

A 26-year-old student of Kpando Secondary Technical School in the Volta Region sustained injuries after he was brutally attacked by armed robbers over the weekend at Ashaiman.

The student, Wisdom Anornu, was said to have travelled from Kpando to attend a funeral at Ashaiman at a popular area called ‘I shall Return,’ which is the refuge of hardened criminals in the Ashaiman Municipality.

Wisdom was said to have been found on the floor on Saturday morning in a pool of blood.

He was rushed to the Tema General Hospital by some good Samaritans for immediate medical attention.

Reports said about four unidentified men robbed him of an amount of GH¢150 and mobile phone after inflicting knife wounds on him.

When DAILY GUIDE visited the hospital, he was on a stretcher with dried blood stains all over his body.

Speaking to DAILY GUIDE, the medical doctor in charge of the hospital mentioned that the victim was responding to treatment, stressing that he rejected the stitching of the part of his body where he sustained deep cut.

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Emmanuel Tetteh Yankah, Ashaiman District Crime Officer confirmed the incident, noting that his outfit had commenced investigation into the matter.
